Paul's Diary
Daily Thoughts
I think this is an exciting section and quite unique to the sporting world. What you will find here, is just a one-liner about my daily thoughts and emotions and to get an understanding how I operate as a coach. As an outsider, people will always wonder what coaches do, think and feel and hopefully this will bridge that gap. So, if there is nothing posted, you know I am in no mood to talk (the players better read this). Enjoy!
It has been a while, but I am back. Since my last update I have been around the country and came back from "Down Under" last week. I am off to London again on Wednesday so not much rest for the wicked. All the boys are back after a week's break to prepare for Commonwealth Games
Sorry for not updating my diary lately. I am actually on leave, but helping out with our U18 High Performance fifteens as well. Our boys have won their first two games against France and Namibia, but it will be a tough battle against the more physical and experienced England team on Friday.
It was my last day with the team before I go on a break next week. I had far too many coffees too early in the season today.
It is not ideal to test new players at the start of our conditioning cycle, but unfortunately we have to see if these guys have what it takes to win tournaments. I was quite impressed with a few of them and I look forward to their progress.
